Rabbi Aryeh Roberts
Assistant Rabbi

Rabbi Roberts received semicha from Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS), where he also earned a certificate in Mental Health Counseling through a joint program with the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. He spent two years learning at YU's Gruss Kollel in Jerusalem under Rabbi Assaf Bednarsh. Rabbi Roberts was also a Sacks Research Scholar, developing educational material inspired by the thought of Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. Prior to arriving at CAS, he interned at shuls in Melbourne, Jerusalem, and Riverdale.


Rabbi Roberts grew up in Potomac, Maryland. He studied at Yeshivat Orayta and spent two summers learning at Yeshivat Har Etzion (Gush). He attended the University of Maryland, where he majored in Philosophy and Jewish Studies and served as president of Kedma, the Orthodox Jewish community on campus.


In addition to playing basketball and softball, Rabbi Roberts enjoys cooking, exploring architecture and urban planning, and following innovations in the world of technology. He is passionate about community-building and is especially interested in how Jewish ideas inform our contemporary lives.
